This summer I’ve had an on-going project of cleaning out my closet at my parents’ house and it has been turned out to be quite an ordeal. Most of my stuff I’ve attempted/failed to sell at Plato’s closet, but a few things I’ve come across have turned into DIY projects–and then resurrected in my current closet. And with that I give you… the denim vest!
Quite possibly one of the easiest DIY’s ever (it took me under 10 mins to complete this), you can easily makeover your old jean jacket into a vest–mine was circa 2005 when I was a highschool freshman and a Hollister/A&F freak. Not only is this project easy, it can save you mucho dinero! Let’s do this…
What you’ll need: an old jean jacket and a pair of sharp scissors
Begin cutting along the seam that connects the sleeve to the body of the jacket.
I cut very close to the seams but you can also cut a little further from the seam then fray the edges. Get creative!
Viola! Your new denim vest that didn’t cost you a thing!
Now go spend that extra cash you saved on a cute maxi dress to wear with it!
