Happy Tuesday! Know what that means? Oh ya, another Style Scenario round-up! This week is all about fall festivals – food, beer, music, you name it! I hit up Boston Calling for the first time two weekends ago and it was a blast! For the first day I opted for a more casual look with denim and warm layers because it was suprisingly cold. South Moon Under hooked us up with some denim to celebrate their October denim event and I’ve met my new go-to denim brand, A Gold E. I’ve always had a tough time finding proper fitting jeans since it’s one of my least favorite things to shop for. I’ve only owned about 5 pairs of denim total over the past 5-6 years, so when I find a pair that I love, I stick with them for a longgg time. This distressed pair is the perfect wash for fall and kept me comfortable while I was standing to watch all the band performances.
I didn’t hit up the music festival until the late afternoon on Saturday, but caught performances by Walk The Moon, Chromeo and Alt-J. Not gonna lie, Alt-J kinda put me to sleep. On Sunday my favorite performances by a landslide were Nate Ruess and Hozier. Misterwives was a big ball of energy and played a few covers, which threw me of, but ended up being pretty good. To round up the night under the SUPER MOON, we jammed out to Alabama Shakes. That was my first time seeing them live and they were perfection. Overall, I really enjoyed the festival vibes and the fact that there were no overlapping sets. The VIP area was great for the free food and flower crowns, but I do wish the seating area could’ve been closer to the stages. I think I would’ve enjoyed the festival a little bit more if it hadn’t been so chilly, but that’s all the more reason to hit up Boston Calling again next May!
What fall festivals are you excited about this season? P.S. Until October 25th, all denim at South Moon Under is 20% off. Plus they’re also collecting old jeans in all store locations to be recycled into housing insulation for communities in need as part of the Blue Jeans Go Green ™ denim recycling program. How awesome is that?! Here are some of my fave denim picks:
