If there’s one thing I love about summer, it’s that you can get crafty with the amount of clothes you have to wear in order to look presentable. For me, dressing in the summer has to be effortless and minimal. I don’t want to worry about which accessories go with xyz top and abc bottoms. I prefer items that I can throw on and only need a quick glance in the mirror before heading out into the heat. This means they need to be classic, but still pack a punch. I like my outfits to be easy, not boring!
This look is a prime example of my summer mentality for dressing. While on vacation with my family, I wore this outfit out for a day of shopping with my mom. I know what you’re thinking. A black hat in the summer may seem a little cray, but it provided all the shade I needed, plus I only had to curl the front pieces of my hair! #lazygirlstatus This look was so easy to put together and kept me cool in the sweltering heat. The top is quite minimal, but I love the daring side slits that add interest to what would typically be a pretty simple looking silhouette. I paired it with my go-to high waisted denim shorts and neutral low heeled booties to pull the look together. As for accessories, I went with a geometric statement necklace, my trusty vegan leather tote, and copper bangles from Trollbeads.
The bangles are perfect for summer because not only are they versatile in design, you can customize them however you wish! I love how these bangles look alone, and in a stack. The sleek metallic design works with just about every outfit I’ll put on this summer. Rather than sticking with three plain bangles, I added a green statement bead to my stack because I loved how the colors paired together. The best part about these bangles is that when fall rolls around, I’ll be able to switch up the look with a new set of statement beads to transition into a new season. It doesn’t get much easier than that! For more summer bracelet inspo, look no further.
