Well you know what they say: if you can’t beat’em, join’em! That’s basically become my mantra for this insane New England winter we’re having. A few weekends ago my dear blogger bud Kayte, and I ventured into the cold with photographer Brad Bahner to capture the snowy scenery at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain, a neighborhood of Boston. Not gonna lie, it was crazy cold, but the untouched snow was absolutely breathtaking; the frozen appendages were totally worth it.Kayte and I are pretty big fans of bohemian style and Free People, which were the inspirations for this shoot. When you think boho style, the first thing that pops into your mind is a hippie festival chick, right? Same here. But creating a boho look in winter is just as beautiful (and a little more comfortable, if you ask me). Layering different fabrics, prints and textures is the name of the game, and I love how the colors Kayte and I chose paired with the stark contrast of the snowy landscape.
Huge thanks to Brad Bahner Photography for braving Mother Nature with us, all in the name of fashion!
